U.S. Army urged to abandon M4 carbine

Within the last 19-22 May in Dallas, Texas, an international symposium on small arms representatives from the U.S. Congress, the Pentagon and several defense companies called the command of American ground troops to abandon the procurement M4 carbines to beskonkursnoy basis. That was reported by Army Times.

Army and Marine Corps (MEC), the U.S. will adopt a new long-range "anti" sniper rifles, the Army Times. Presumably, the effective range of their application would be about 1500-1800 meters, double that of existing sniper rifles caliber 7,62 mm.
